NOTES: This was my first trail marathon. It was my 4th trail event: (1) Psycho Wyco 10 miler, (2) Kettle Moraine 100, (3) Dogwood Canyon 25K. Scott and I had hopes of this being an easy non-technical trail so that we could move pretty fast and it wouldn't wipe us out (I wanted a sub-4-hour). The trail was highly technical and very difficult to be efficient on. I came through the first half in 1:58:50, and then tried to be as efficient for the second half - but the wheels came off.
