the week was a bit of a downer. i took myself off of "injured reserve" and enjoyed 18 miles of running (and it was glorious). well, my leg was not ready. it is asking for more time to heal before i return to running. the plan now is to roller-ski exclusively until the "patriots' run". it is going to be a bit wild to come into this event with so little running during the weeks prior, but i am confident i am still sufficiently fit to keep myself moving for 9 hours and 11 minutes.
i am taking some pressure off myself with regards to boston qualifying in 2009. my focus for now is purely to enjoy the miles and build my endurance base. i am planning to take a zen approach to the "omaha marathon" (no watch, walk-fuel intervals every three miles, consistent effort).
