i tried to make the most of my first week of the let-my-shin-heal-month. i missed running, but i still enjoyed participating in a variety of recreational fitness promoting activities. fasting from running, contributed to further growth of my running-hunger. i spent a lot of my thinking moments this week fantasizing about my september events: the patriots ultramarathon (9.11) and the omaha marathon (9.27).
i enjoyed a six mile hike this week with my boys and my dad [see pictures above]. the negative is that we all got eaten alive by missouri chiggers (some of us worse than others). i learned my lesson and will not go back into the missouri woods without a proper spray down.
