01.21.2009: 11.5 miles of running in republic, mo.: 1 hour, 47 minutes and 54 seconds

01.22.2009: 5 miles of walking in republic, mo.: 1 hour, 19 minutes and 21 seconds

01.23.2009: 6 miles of running in republic, mo: 51 minutes and 57 seconds

01.24.2009: rest day

01.25.2009: 10 miles of running in springfield, mo. (speed work): 1 hour, 27 minutes and 48 seconds

total running miles for the week: 27.5 miles
total running miles for 2009: 154 miles

i treated this week like a recovery week. i am going to try and go with an every other day running plan. during my speed work on sunday i was very encouraged. i am really starting to feel fit. i am now officially registered for the "flying pig marathon". i already have a good portion of confidence that i will enjoy the event. the 10 mile trail race is getting closer. i am still brewing up my race strategy for that one.
