NOTES: Enjoyed the first 2 miles with my wife doing a run-walk-mix zen style. During that 2 miles I decided I would add 6 via a route I did a few times this summer. Right around the 5 mile route I thought I saw 2 white horses on the road heading towards me. Once I had time to get a better look, it became clear to me that it was the Republic High School cross country team. I think it freaked a couple of them out to see me out there coming towards them (they were on the wrong side of the road). I know it freaked out one girl because she exclaimed: "Oh my gosh, that is a guy!". I was a bit concerned to see these youngsters out there running on a dark farm road with no reflective gear on (I believe I will email the superintendent to suggest vests). It was exciting to roll through DAY 50 today!
