i am a bit suprised that i actually went 2 more miles further than the record i set the week before of 64 miles. i had a great week of running. two very fun adventure runs. one that i blogged about that included running at midnight. the second was yesterday on the "frisco highline trail". i started at 4:30 am to beat the heat. the first half hour was very dark and a bit scary. i concluded that it is time to get a headlamp prior to attempting that again.

i got inspiration this week by watching "ultramarathon man". after watching it, i went out that night and ran 16 miles.

i am thankful to be able to share that my body is feeling great. the shin might be at about 95% now.

a highlight of my sunday running was going 26.2 miles without a walk segment. i was pacing for 50k, but issues related to digestive waste required me to pull out after covering the marathon distance. the long run plans over the weeks to come: this week = 15, the next = 20, then = 25+. i think that will be my cycle for a few weeks.

I use a Petzl lamp. Very light weight and good light (if the batteries are good).
